Battsen electric bike new censor development

New Lithium Polymer Battery

Battsen electric bikes are adopting the technological change into Lithium Polymer batteries. We have long been following the development of Lithium batteries and tested many examples with great success. The main reson for not implementing this technology in Battsen electric bikes have been the high manufacturing price for this new technology. Both the batteries and the manufacturing set-ups are now at a stage where we find is favorable to introduce these batteries. The major advantages of the Lithium Polymer batteries seen in contrast to the old Lithium Ion is a much lighter weight and a longer life expectancy. The new Battsen Lithium Polymer battery ways only 1,8 Kg and can be recharged 800 cycles.

The new casing design and lock in feature makes the battery even more convenient to remove for charging. The battery is of course still possible to change while fixed to the bike.

Lithium Polymer (General introduction)

The lithium-polymer differentiates itself from conventional battery systems in the type of electrolyte used. The original design, dating back to the 1970s, uses a dry solid polymer electrolyte. This electrolyte resembles a plastic-like film that does not conduct electricity but allows ions exchange (electrically charged atoms or groups of atoms). The polymer electrolyte replaces the traditional porous separator, which is soaked with electrolyte.
